New Naturalism is a literary movement I first identified in my Master’s dissertation. In Traces, I’ll keep building on that work by exploring it from various perspectives: cultural theory, philosophy, history, language, religion, story & mythology, psychology and, of course, literature. Ultimately, I hope to cultivate this theory into a practice that contributes to a new mythology that embraces an eco-spiritual worldview.
Here is where I’ll summarize what I learn from the various traces I collect and share here on the website. It’ll be a continuous cultivation, a living document.
All is interconnected. All is sacred. Human and more-than-human.
There is a growing literary/cultural movement in which Nature is seen to provide healing, instruction, inspiration. The elder feminine voice of The Crone is reemerging too. It’s natural magic.
